~And yes, I prefer to call it Christmas not holidays because it is one more way for people to take Christ out of our wonderful holiday...*gasp* I said it...holiday!!! Yikes!!! :o Anway, this will probably be a post that most people will not comment on but that's all right.
Due to the holiday~*ahem* what I mean to say is, Christmas I will not be posting the last week of my Old Fashion, Handmade Christmas event. Here are a few reasons why:
1. It's knitting...most girls do not know how to knit as I can see, they were not willing to join my crocheting week. Crocheting is such a relaxing pastime, so if you did not try your hand at it this week, I heartily encourage you to go back after Christmas and check out my post and tutorials.
{Special thanks to my dear friend, Miriam for joining and linking up even though she, herself, was just learning that week.}
2. Knitting is not as broad a topic as say paper or fabric. Unless you are an advanced knitter, all you can really knit for the time being is a scarf, neckwarmer, headbands and dishcloths. You cannot just pick up some needles and start knitting a sweater...unless you have a hidden talent and are supernaturally good!:)
3. I am a beginner knitter myself. I really have no idea when it comes to the terminology of knitting except for cable stitch (which I want to learn how to do soon), knit, and purl, but hope to familiarize myself soon.
4. I am SO busy this week as I know many of you are too in preparation of the holidays~*ahem* Christmas. :)
5. I do not have a giveaway for this week. A friend had made something, and volunteered to sponsor a knitting giveaway, but she is so busy {which I can completely understand, it really is not her fault at all!}, that I think that I will probably add that to my 200th post giveaway (which is eight posts away!:)
I really like the spreading of tutorials, so I am thinking of having a link-up party every week/month or so, for other girls to find great handmade/homemade tutorials or gift ideas. I really like those blogs that have those link-up parties and then feature their favorite tutorials; gives young ladies great project and gift ideas, plus showcases their work. Perhaps, I can even tie that into my monthly interviews! How does that sound? Well, details will probably come at the beginning of the year.
Oh, that reminds me...I am getting braces at the beginning of the year! {And I'm not saying that in a positive way even though I am {should} be thankful that my family has the money to be able to make my teeth look good:D} Yay!
Oh, and a REALLY special post is coming up soon...in fact, I shall just put that on my 200th post list!:)
Well, I hope you are all thoroughly enjoying the festive, Christmas air, and that you are receiving a light sprinkle of whimsical snow right now! I am definitely dreaming of a white Christmas!:)
Blessings to you all!
~Grace~
